hopefulThere is a man in my town who has a story that many of you will relate to as being all too common in this world today.
His name is Mark, and he worked as a landscaper, but was laid off due to lack of business.
He could no longer afford his apartment, and so lives in a tent in the woods.
When the incredibly beautiful soul
earthspirits heard of this, she said to me, let's do a fundraising. I'll contribute some of my art, you contribute a copy of your books, you can ask some others to join in, and we'll see if we can get this guy some money.The response was overwhelming. So far nine (edited - 10 nope 11 -) people total have joined in to offer art, books, or jewelry.
I think alot of people feel as I do... the helplessness to do much for others in this economy is wearying, and it feels GOOD just to help ONE person. I think it helps the people who give, as much as it will help Mark. :-)
And so, with a grateful heart, I begin this adventure. I'll be adding to this post, as people send me more information, so keep checking!
All profits go directly to Mark, handed to him by me, so I can be sure he gets all of it.
